Cant get PIWIS 3 to activate, ran the keygen a the newly created challenge, generated license key is accepted, says "The change requires a reboot", but after restart "No imprint available" is back... Any suggestion?! VM LAN connection is disconnected, if that matters.

When loading a VM with Workstation Pro, you have to answer if you "moved" or "copied" it; I have always answered moved and no changes to VM UUID were made, but seems like Workstation 17 and 25H1/H2 ignores it.
Solution for this is edit the .vmx file before loading it to Workstation, and add a new line with the string:
uuid.action = "keep"
Save, load the VM and PIWIS3 will be activated on first load.
